GRAV is a role-playing action-adventure video game developed and published by BitMonster Games. GRAV is a sand box experience where you explore a multitude of planets, hunt strange alien creatures, build and defend outposts, craft weapons and armor, and attempt to survive against other players in a hostile environment. The game was released as an early access on January 20, 2015 and available for Microsoft Windows PC.

How do we actually run this? there seems to be nothing to run besides servers which when launched show multiple errors or crashes straight away.

Here’s the installation guide provided by er:
Run the application found in Binaries according to your system. (Bit: 32 or 64)
MULTIPLAYER GUIDE
Go to GRAV\Binaries\Win32 and Win64 and edit the steam_appid.txt in both to a game you and your friends own that has multiplayer, or a free one on steam, I used Spacewar. (everything has to use the same appid of course)
Then start the server by doing this:
(I recommend changing the bold stuff)
Go to GRAV\Binaries\Win32
create a .bat file (create text document, save as .bat file or rename .txt to .bat) with content:
start CAGGameServer-Win32-Shipping.exe cag_p?steamsockets?Port=7785?PeerPort=7786?QueryPort=27019?=xxx?Game=yyy?MaxPlayers=64?allowpvp=0?ServerName=”My GRAV Dedicated PVE Server” -seekfreeloadingserver
Because you edited the steam appid it should let you connect to the server, it worked for me.
Connect by opening the console in the game and type in:
open IP:Port?=yyy
If you are running the server yourself it should look like this:
open 127.0.0.1:7785?=yyy
There’s also useful console commands once you’re in the game:
To create a “party” with your friend, you both need to type the same FOF code in your console
ClientSetFOFCode x
